All students receive 100 minutes of Performing Arts per week and the content and experiences in music and drama include:
Students have the opportunity to play tuned and untuned percussions, keyboards and guitars. They play in small and whole class groups, including some ensemble work.
Topics vary according to student interest but can include traditional circle dances, interpretive dance and dance games.
Students are involved in creating and directing their own short skits, reviewing plays, using mime, theatre sports puppets and masks. They also learn about the history of drama.
An End of Year Concert showcases the students' work where our Performing Arts teacher works in collaboration with students to create items for the concert.
