Middle School Panel Presentations

As students move through school life to become contributing members of society, and in the case where careers and occupations are concerned, it is inevitable that they will be judged by a review panel on merit and suitability.

As part of a new initiative, we introduced Panel Presentations for our Middle School students in 2014. The Panel Presentations give students an opportunity to cover optional areas of interest both in and out of school in front of a review panel made up of members of staff, parents and community members. During their Panel Presentation, students will cover how they learnt their topics of interest, challenges and successes and where they believe this learning will take them further in their educational or personal careers.

Upon completion of their presentation, panellists ask students some questions, whether general or specific to their presentation, closely emulating merit selection panels during job interviews.

This year, we have had the honour of welcoming the following parents and community members to sit in on our Panel Presentations.

  • Dr Tully Barnett (Governing Council)
  • Mr Haydn Bellamy (Gym SA State Director)
  • Ms Tricia Clement (Council of the Aged SA)
